Romantic Canoe Engagement
This was such a fun engagement session; Kenzie and Thomas were an absolute pleasure not only to photograph but also to hangout with! For the first half of the session their adorable dogs, Koda and Jacob, accompanied us. Koda and Jacob are a significant part of Kenzie and Thomas’s life. I strongly urge couples to bring anything to the session that displays their personality and passions. I try my best to customize each session to the couple since everyone is unique. Their cute dogs certainly brought this idea to life!
I couldn’t help but have fallen in love with Kenzie and Thomas’s passion for adventuring and traveling. I pitched my romantic canoe idea to them and they immediately were excited. On the day of their session I strapped my canoe onto the roof of my car and drove off to meet them. We were blessed with beautiful weather, and as the sun began to drop just above the tree line, Kenzie and Thomas ventured off into the canoe for some fun and romantic photos.
Kenzie and Thomas paddled over to an area with a stunning willow tree, which made for an incredible backdrop for photos. Here we took advantage of this amazing location with some candid and detail ring photos. We took this time to do an outfit change for our new location. Couples, I recommend bringing about two or maybe even three outfits to an engagement session. Bring your favourite pieces of clothing and what ever shows off who you are as a couple! While I am on the topic of outfits, check out this blog I wrote on suggestions for how to style your look for your best photoshoot.
To top this already incredible engagement session up, we watched the sunset and the colours paint the sky with different shades of red. To say the least, I am very excited to photograph their wedding in August 2020 and all the other extraordinary events that follow.
